The season I fell in love with music…again.

Whether it’s because I’ve been stuck in the house for too long or spending too much time on the Internet, it’s both, my discovery of new music has increased. While much of the new music I have started to listen to has been around for quite some time I still feel all geeked out when I hear an awesome track. During my winter break I’ve rediscovered the power of Last.Fm. Spending just an hour on the website will introduce you to a numerous amount of artists; too much sometimes actually. But once you get through all the “Recommendations” that the site offers you’ll surely find something that stands from the rest. I haven’t had an experience like that yet so I’m still waiting. And now she won’t go.

I’m telling you all Example is really shaping up to be quite the star. This song is absolutely dance inducing. I’m hoping this guy has a great year. And if you’re in the UK, make sure you pre-order this single on iTunes!

Back up and quiet down. Thanks. (Updated)

I wish I had a video to publish with this post, but the issue at hand must be discussed. I want to bring attention to something that I feel effects quite a few Washingtonians. Have any of you ever arrived to a Metro station in the early morning and had to deal with 2 to 3 newspaper distributors? I mean one is enough, but when you have multiple men (as I have yet to see a female distributor) giving out newspapers it just seems like overkill! Now, I understand that newspapers like The Washington Post and the Enquirer need to get their papers distributed, but when they are blocking commuters entrance to a station there’s a problem. Take me there.

I haven’t written a new post in who knows how long. Much has happened between now and my last post. Has it been an interesting span of time? I would say no, but there have been a few really cool things that have happened. Actually, just yesterday I participated in a three school discussion on two Supreme Court cases. Sounds simple, huh? Not quite. This discussion wasn’t one between the three schools involved but with three Supreme Court Justices. Yes, you read that correctly…THREE….JUSTICES! Read the rest of this entry »

Reason for Leaving DC #2438

Capitol Sign

Today was a sign day. Of all the photos I took today, most consist of signs. They’re not in the photos intentionally though because today (9/12/09) was the National Taxpayers Rally here in DC. And what a rally it was! Never have I been in the presence of so many “conservative” Americans. Also, I’ve never seen so many people who were against Obama. It wasn’t shocking though. It’s America…land of the opinionated. Read the rest of this entry »

I want that belt. Thanks.

For as long as I have known about Etro I have adored their use of fun prints and expressive colors. Every season I’m mesmerized by the spectrum of swatches they have to use in order to create their pieces. Sometimes they may go overkill with all the damn paisley, but when they don’t, their shirts and pants are flawless. For this particular post I chose to focus in on the belt the model above is wearing. It may not look like much but I really, really like it. And I’m not that crazy about accessories. I don’t usually focus my attention on the “extras”, but I do understand their importance. Read the rest of this entry »
