Changing

Seeing as the changes have been swift and consistent, I cannot judge them as being beneficial or not. It may be the lack of sleep (and increase in cortisol), as well as the summer heat, that is forcing me to evaluate my life. It’s customary for one to think life over when there is nothing else to do. I have a job to get to, one that I should have been planning for this whole weekend, but never got around to. I’ll blame Netflix, video games, and the ever specific blogs that populate Tumblr. It’s disgusting actually, the level of specificity that exists on there.
But I digress. I write at this ghastly hour (for a work night) because I am stressed. I write because I’ve lost focus and at least here I can type of a path, a path with thoughts.
Ta-ta.
Times are a changing.

I could blame school or myself, so I’ll just blame both. I really don’t know what to write at this very moment. I’m still in the process of figuring out what I want this blog to be used for. Perhaps a place for my photography? Or maybe about fashion and music? Whatever I do decide I need to figure out how to do it so that people can read and come back.
The season I fell in love with music…again.

While much of the new music I have started to listen to has been around for quite some time I still feel all geeked out when I hear an awesome track. During my winter break I’ve rediscovered the power of Last.Fm. Spending just an hour on the website will introduce you to a numerous amount of artists; too much sometimes actually. But once you get through all the “Recommendations” that the site offers you’ll surely find something that stands from the rest. I haven’t had an experience like that yet so I’m still waiting. This song is absolutely dance inducing. I’m hoping this guy has a great year. And if you’re in the UK, make sure you pre-order this single on iTunes!

Music, movies, fashion and whatever else that requires you to be in the know is not my strong point. But I’m content. Everything is new to everyone at some point right?
Well, today I discovered a podcast that I quickly fell in love with. It’s been around for some time so this isn’t some cool, underground type of thing. If anything I’m not really promoting the show, but just praising it. The podcast is “The Sound Culture“. It’s podcast featuring some of the best world music in, well, the world! Take a listen and you’ll hear some reggae, hip-hop, and electronica infused with sounds from the far East. Either click on the link above or take a listen here at Odeo.
Oh yeah! If you visit their website you can download all your favorite tracks from the podcasts. Bonus!
